Clench your fist

June 6th, 2013 by Jeff St. Laurent

Greater results are created when you are more aware. You become more present, clear, focused and take action.

The following is a 1 minute 57 second audio where I teach you something valuable about understanding your environment to become more aware… with a cool exercise that will make your jaw drop, or something like that!

Are you still falling in?

Chapter I

I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost … I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

Chapter II

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I am in the same place.
But, it isn’t my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

Chapter III

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in … it’s a habit … but,
my eyes are open.
I know where I am.
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.

Chapter IV

I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I walk around it.

Chapter V

I walk down another street.

The Talent Show Dilemma

February 1st, 2013 by Jeff St. Laurent

The Scene:
I’m in my home office being super productive… then remembered I had to leave RIGHT THEN if I wanted to see my sons talent show and would have no time to work.

My Dilemma
I want to see my son and I want to continue to be productive.
My values are in conflict… I want to do both…I can only do one. (feel familiar?)

My Internal Dialogue
“I should honor my business, it’s important.” “I should really be there for my son, it’s important.”
“I can get this work done another time.” “It’s only two minutes of him dribbling two basketballs…he will understand if I can’t make it.”

My Guilt-free Decision
I’m going to watch my son. I can work anytime I want, yet I can only go see my 6 year old son dribble two basketballs live in-front of the whole school ONCE.

How I got there
I asked myself: looking back on today, which will I regret NOT doing?
I would have regretted not seeing my son and sharing in that experience.

What about you?
We all face daily dilemmas where two important values are in conflict. We feel guilt, anxiety and confusion.
There is no right or wrong answer to what you decide to do… I request you ask yourself some questions to find out what is MOST IMPORTANT to YOU AT THAT TIME.

Cut through the BS and honor what you REALLY feel… because the pain of regret weighs tons and we only regret the things we DON’T do in life.

Wanna Laugh

January 3rd, 2013 by Jeff St. Laurent

Did you know that children laugh 95% more than adults do!?

I just made that statistic up… and if you didn’t just laugh then it’s most likely true.

Laughter is a drug and we all require more of it every day. It is a gift!

My gift to you… a 47second video involving my 6 year old and a balloon… The FIRST TIME he tried to blow one up!

New Years advice from a Beer Commercial

January 2nd, 2013 by Jeff St. Laurent

Here is the advice:
Find out what you don’t do well… And don’t do it.

If you want your results to skyrocket this year… know what you do well and find someone else to do the things you don’t.

People waste too much time focusing on their weaknesses as oppose to harnessing their strengths.

You don’t have to and CAN’T be great at everything… Focus your energy and see where it takes you!

The end or beginning?

December 28th, 2012 by Jeff St. Laurent

There are only a few days left in 2012.

This represents an incredible opportunity to reflect.

The people that do are typically the ones who create the biggest results moving forward.

Below I have a sub 2 minute audio that asks some powerful questions… I have done this for the past 8 years.

When you invest the energy to answer, I guarantee your results will improve in 2013

Post your comments as I would love to hear what you learned from answering.

What’s your excuse?

November 28th, 2012 by Jeff St. Laurent

EVERYONE has reasons for NOT doing something they WANT to…

It could be creating more income, improving a relationship, eating better or working out.

No one but you can determine if your reason is a VALID one or complete BS to protect you from something you fear…

Either way the 16 second video below might inspire you to throw the BS aside and TAKE ACTION!!

(this took place where I train at Crossfit EXP during the October “Barbells for Boobs” breast cancer fundraiser event!)

YOU

October 5th, 2012 by Jeff St. Laurent

Let me tell you something about YOU.

YOU can do anything you want to do.

You are in control of your destiny.

YOU can achieve as much success as you want to.

You are your own ceiling… get out of the way!!

You create choices…When life knocks you down you can choose to get up or stay down.

I BELIEVE IN YOU

I am the BEST EVER!

July 23rd, 2012 by Jeff St. Laurent

What you tell yourself inside your head, called “self talk”, irrefutably determines your results.

When was the last time you told yourself that you were the BEST?

How often do you believe in yourself and genuinely think that you will do well in a given situation?

Below is a one minute video clip of my son, Keaton, who taught me a lesson in positive self talk and believing in yourself that you deserve to learn from.

What are some of the things you are telling yourself about a challenge you have in front of you now?

How is that “talk” helping you succeed?

If not, what would allow you to believe more in yourself and improve your “talk.”

What if you’re wrong?

May 7th, 2012 by Jeff St. Laurent

What if for the longest time you believed that you could not do something?

Whether you learned it or someone told you it was not possible… what if you just accepted it as truth?

WHAT IF YOU or THEY were WRONG?

This is a 5 minute story of how to NEVER underestimate what you can do when you beleive in yourself!

You DESERVE to watch this… it could change the rest of your life.
